These windows were east facing onto a parking lot, as such the morning sun was intense - even brutal. But, the mid-day and afternoon glare and reflection off of car wind shields would have been equally unpleasant for employees and customers. By using a 5% solar screen, natural light still brightens the restaurant without the unpleasant side effects.
